A prime piece of land for Mönchengladbach gains radiance

In Mönchengladbach, Ferraro Group is developing the "Rheindahlen Industrial Park", which presents itself as a fantastic location for the region. The approximately 55,000 sq meters site was owned by a well-known German family business. From 1906 to 1988, it was home to a textile company with a spinning mill, winding mill, dye works and bleach works. There were also car repair shops and a petrol station.

This use inevitably led to heavy contamination - a particular challenge for the Ferraro Group, which it gladly accepted. Almost all of the buildings were demolished, the soil was replaced in all relevant areas, the site was fully developed, and access roads were built.

This resulted in approx. 32,000 sq meters of land for commercial use and approx. 18,000 sq meters of building land for mixed use.

"We have a really coherent business park here with great connections," says Giuseppe Ferraro during the marketing phase. "SMEs and small businesses are on board, and the residential properties and buildings for offices and medical practices are being realized. There will also be a daycare center. For a long time, the community did not believe that this new vibrant life would be possible on the site of these old contaminated factory premises."
